However bear in mind that most US carriers only allow up to 3000 minutes of free calls from landline phones, so yes, you should always use your cell phone.

Like I mentioned in my previous post, ActionVoIP looked quite the same as VoIP discount. When you take a look at Voipbuster website, you may get the feeling that you have seen it somewhere before, just the color is different. Well, you are absolutely right, it has the same website structure with VoIPstunt, and what’s more important, they offer nearly the same VoIP software and service. But they claim on their website that they have free calls and nearly free SMS worldwide, although it’s not free phone to phone calls, the rates are reasonable.

While Voipbuster do have something new in their website, they provide a rates calculator, you select the country you are calling and the country you want to call, you will see the rates right away in Euros. In my case, I select US for both, and it shows calls are free, and SMS is 7.4 cent.

Voipbuster has mobile VoIP softwares as well, and you will not be surprised to find out that the Windows mobile version is not available at the present. They have detailed instructions to help you and you can browse the features they offer too.

Since Voipbuster and VoIPstunt have almost the same VoIP softwares and services, the choice is up to you, and you may want to check out the rates and give it a try.

When I first looked at ActionVoIP website, it came to me that I had seen it somewhere although I can’t remember where. So I looked it up in my blog, after check a few posts, I found that the structure of their website is quite similar to that of VoIP discount. So if you have read my other posts, you must be familiar with ActionVoip website, their VoIP software, features and instructions. Well this may save them some time and energy; I should say it’s not professional, although I do not know which of them set up the website first.

ActionVoIP claimed to provide cheap calling around the world, but if you check out their rates, although it varies, but the rates are more or less the same with VoIP discount, while the latter provides free calling to US numbers and other 30 countries. Since they have the same products, price and after sales service make the differences. I am not a subscriber to them, so I did not know anything about their services.

Vbuzzer, like Skype, is a  an instant messaging as well as VoIP software. But unlike Skype, it’s based on SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), which let you enjoy better call quality according to user reviews.

Vbuzzer is a strong competition to Skype, while they all allow you to make free PC-PC calls and offer a local regular number (phone plan needed), but the price of long distance call of Vbuzzer is only half that of Skype, which is very good. In the meantime, Vbuzzer offers free Voicemail which Skype will charge you for using voicemail.

As for the rates of Vbuzzer, they offer per as you go and monthly calling plan. According to their website, monthly calling plan lets you save more than 50% from pay as you go rate, but the details can only be seen after you download the software and sign up with them. Even so, Vbuzzer allows you to save serious money when compared to other VoIP service like Skype and Yahoo Messenger etc.

Vbuzzer is the most powerful VoIP service I have even seen. They not only allows you to make PC-Phone calls at low rates, but they also offers you internet fax (now free within US and Canada), mobile SMS, VPN and conferencing service, all in a single VoIP client, which is really amazing.
